Woo hoo! Two Brolga Awards for Sea Darwin

Woo hoo! Two Brolga Awards for Sea Darwin

We are thrilled to be the recipient of two 2014 Brolga Awards – Eco Tourism and the Chairman’s Award for Business Excellence.

Six years ago from a zero start we set out to open up a new destination and new experiences in the Northern Territory. This was done without Government subsidy, funding or support, and in an open and competitive market environment. Our work this year has continued to build on the hard toil of years gone by, and has been supported by our family, our friends and our business partners. From our success this year we believe Sea Darwin has established a new iconic Australian tourism experience, with information and photos from our Turtle Tracks experience receiving national and international exposure. Tourism Australia tells us that one of Turtle Tracks photos has been the second most liked ever on their Instagram account (as at end of October 2014), and what makes this even more special is that the photo was taken by one of our staff, and not by any established photographer. Tourism Australia have also provided information that one of our featured posts on their facebook page achieved exposure to 1.9 million people. This year we have had unsolicited editorial in the Australian and the UK Telegraph, and we have hosted our first international group from Japan. What pleases us most is that this has all been done true to the principles of the eco tourism award; we support local, we put back into our community and we honour the principles & ethics of responsible tourism. We continue to believe in our small business and will keep on striving for business excellence. We are exceptionally appreciative of the support from Tourism NT and to the Chairman and Panel of Brolga judges for acknowledging the worth of our business through the Brolga judging process.

We thank our family, friends, staff and our partnering businesses and all those who have supported us with this achievement. We acknowledge the Kenbi who allow us to visit their land, and we look forward to another successful year in 2015.

Enjoy a beautiful day in Darwin with us Book your tour
