Hatchling Tour: 14 September 2013

Sea Darwin is thrilled that the Turtle Whisperer, Dr Mick Guinea, has agreed to host a special flatback hatchling tour this year.

Saturday 14 September 2013 is the neap tide date that promises to provide special memories for those who take up the opportunity for this special tour. We will leave Stokes Hill at the usual time of 16:00 hours, arriving at Bare Sand well in time for a wander along the beach with beautiful light that twilight in this remote location provides.

Dinner will be served on the beach, and after the setting of the tropical sun Dr Mick will take us on a guided tour to witness hatchlings erupt from the sand.

This will be a late night, as those babies don’t usually like to pop their heads up until the sand is cooler. A fast boat ride will bring us home under a starry night.
