Sea Darwin - Sea Tiwi is a multi-award winning marine based tourism company that provides interpretive history, sunset and wildlife experiences on Darwin Harbour and beyond. Operating from an eco tourism model with products that attract Advanced Eco and Respecting our Culture accreditation, Sea Darwin - Sea Tiwi takes pride in supporting local and in providing interactive products that showcase the history, the habitat and the intrigue of Darwin Harbour and the NT coastal environment. The original business, Sea Darwin was established by Darwin local entrepreneur Jim Smith in 2008. In October 2023 Tiwi Enterprises PL took ownership of the business, with the vision to expand service beyond Darwin Harbour as Sea Darwin -Sea Tiwi.
Tiwi Enterprises was formed in 2007 by the eight Tiwi Landowning Groups to develop economic opportunities and create jobs for Tiwi people. Its first contract was planting Acacia seedlings on Melville Island for the forestry industry. Since then Tiwi Enterprises has expanded its operations and business activities including car hire, motel operations, management of contractor camps, maintenance services and much more. Tiwi Enterprises is 100% indigenous owned, and is a Not For Profit Organization.
Sea Darwin -Sea Tiwi offers Darwin’s only marine based Bombing of Darwin cruise; as well as a Discover Darwin Harbour cruise; the award winning Sunset Fish’n Chips cruise, and the signature Turtle Tracks product. The company has the fastest vessels on Darwin Harbour, and specializes in tailoring cruises, tours, special events and unique sunset experiences.
