Skipper/Master

As a Skipper, you’ll be responsible for safely operating our vessels on tours, charters, and water taxi services. You’ll lead crew members while ensuring passengers have an enjoyable, safe, and informative experience. Your role includes vessel operations and maintaining a positive, professional atmosphere.  We require you to be qualified with Master <24m & MED2,  Senior First Aid & RSA and with a minimum 2 years’ commercial skippering experience. Casual positions are available, along with full time positions in the tourism season. 

Deckhand 

As a deckhand, you will assist the skipper to ensure the safety and wellbeing of passengers aboard our vessels, and will have diverse skills required for carrying out marine tourism, private charter and water taxi work.  We require either Coxswain or Elements of Shipboard Safety certification, with previous experience in marine-based tourism work highly regarded.  Deck hand positions are casual, and flexibility to work throughout the day, evening and week is required.

Cruise Attendant

As a casual cruise attendant  on our cruises and charters, you will strive to create a memorable experience for our guests. This position is hospitality based, and primarily involves serving food and beverages to our guests while providing an interactive and positive experience. As this position is vessel based, you will assist the skipper in the safe operation of the vessel. 

Flatback Turtle Guide

As a  casual, seasonal Turtle Guide , you will be responsible for co-guiding tour groups of up to 22 people to Ngulbitjik (Bare Sand Island) to view and interpret Flatback sea turtles. This role requires a confident individual who has sound knowledge of marine turtle behaviour and biology, and is passionate about the environment and creating a memorable experience for our guests, while keeping safety as a priority.

WW2 Tour Guide 

Sea Darwin employs both land and sea casual WWII Tour Guides.  As the land based guide you will be independently driving and delivering guided half day history tours on one of our Mercedes Sprinters in Darwin. This position requires in-depth local knowledge about Darwin's war history, the ability to manage groups of up to 15 guests, and is suited for a passionate individual with exceptional customer service skills.  As a sea based guide, you will deliver guided commentary to passengers aboard the Bombing of Darwin cruise.
