Sea Darwin - Sea Tiwi: The Journey Begins

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. And for us here at Tiwi Enterprises we have taken that step and are thrilled to share the news of a new era at Sea Darwin. A new era doesn’t come from nothing. While we’re excited to bring new opportunities, we are committed to matching and continuing the professionalism and consistency in delivering the quality, the innovation, and the customer service that Sea Darwin has achieved. We are focused on ensuring that the core business of Sea Darwin won’t change. Sunsets, history, turtles will go on and continue to grow.

There will be a subtle, powerful change though. The awakening of Sea Darwin – Sea Tiwi means that we are already working on exciting updates, including developing and launching authentic cultural, eco-tourism experiences on the Tiwi Islands that will simply be, Bucket List.

At the heart of Tiwi Enterprises is a group of 8 Directors from each of the clan groups of the Tiwi Islands. These Directors are excited to expand their business into Darwin. They are intent on building Tiwi future through business opportunity, and Sea Darwin – Sea Tiwi will enable them to establish Tiwi tourism products that remain true to their culture; that honour their country; and that have the same core values of existing Sea Darwin products.

With such a big vision, the Directors have faith that at the helm will be Chief Executive Officer, Scott (Scotty) Simpson, whose optimistic passion for tourism has spanned the 32 years he has been in the Territory. Scotty’s knowledge, connection, and discerning cultural insight will be potent in navigating the transition of business ownership and developing new experiences all the while keeping Sea Darwin products consistent and professional.

In November, Sea Darwin – Sea Tiwi will welcome General Manager, Brian Worsley to the team. Brian brings a wealth of tourism knowledge, effective leadership and an enthusiasm for eco-tourism that will add incredible value. And the icing on the cake is that Sea Darwin - Sea Tiwi has inherited a passionate, competent and life loving crew that are coming on the journey, and who already know the importance of professionalism and customer service.
